Dalkeith’s Itihaas restaurant has celebrated its latest award with a presentation to a charity tackling blindness in the country where its roots lie.
Almost 100 guests attended the reception where Itihaas director Matin Khan handed £1,000 to Vision Bangladesh, which provides cataract operations to save people’s sight in that country. The money was raised by customers of the Indian-Bangladeshi restaurant which recently won the Best Customer Service category in the inaugural Midlothian Food and Drink Awards.
