Assurance on meat products used at Itihaas

Itihaas - Sag Gosht

We were very disappointed to read about the recent news from the Food Standards Agency (FSA) on Food Fraud or specifically, “Lamb being substituted by other meat products”.

Food hygiene and quality of meat is very important for us at Itihaas restaurant. In recent times, there has been a lot of bad press around misleading meat products used in the food industry. We would like to confirm to our customers that if you order a Lamb dish at Itihaas, a Lamb dish is what you will get! If you order a Chicken dish, then a Chicken dish is what you will receive!

To further assure our customers, we would like to confirm that the Food Standards Agency has completed the Food Hygiene Information scheme at our premises and we have been awarded a ‘Pass’. A ‘Pass’ means that the business has achieved an acceptable level of compliance with food hygiene law.

If you would like any further information on meat products used, please ask to speak to Matin Khan in the restaurant or call us on 0131 663 9800.
